Salvador Allende was a politician in Chile. El era el primeir presidente Marxist to come to power in an open election. Augusto Pinochet was also a former presidente de Chile. El took power with a military coup. He seized power from Allende. Neruda allegedly died of Cancer right after Pinochet seized power. Muchas personas believe that he may have been murdered because his ideas were very much so in line with the Allende administration, he was actually considered un amigo del Allende. Although most of his escritos were not political, many believed that he may begin righting anti-Pinochet pieces. Por lo tanto, muchas personas piensan que el was murdered by the Pinochet administration.  En las dos obras, la voz poetica es omniscient. La voz sabe todo sobre las problemas. Es un poco personal, pero no mucho. Moscas son animales pequenas que encantan azucar y comida. Ellos tienen alas. En el cuento, moscas son las personas who are inhabiting the area and are bleeding it dry. Las personas de la United Fruit Co. Segun, la vov poetica en La Standard Oil Co., la company vas a ganar dinero by bleeding everyone else dry. It is very exploitive of the area around it.
